After almost ten years in galleries and having spent the past year living in Los Angeles; traveling all over the country to fairs, galleries and artists’ studios, Stephanie Walker, will open WALKER CONTEMPORARY at 450 Harrison Avenue on Friday, November 7. Former Director of Chase Gallery, Walker is deeply committed to the advancement of outstanding contemporary art and looks forward to sharing a fresh vision that is all her own while providing an inviting and friendly space to experience exciting new art.
The inaugural exhibition will feature gallery artists both emerging and mid-career, national & International, sculpture, painting and installation. Artists include Jennifer Davis, John Dempcy, Susan Dory, Benicia Gantner, Elisa Johns, Kazuo Kadonaga, Jae Ko, Dharma Strasser MacColl, Don Maynard, Meg Brown Payson and Anne Siems. Walker discovered many of her artists during her travels as well during her time spent in Los Angeles.
